With my 1 month old toy poodle, Bibi

Hi, I'm Angela and I'm a writer.

Like many writers out there, I've been reading & writing pretty much my whole life. I was fortunate enough to have some of my work published in Asian American anthologies, cultural readers and literary journals.

Currently I work as an Editor-in-chief for a lifestyle website called Mamalane, and a freelance copywriter to small businesses and individuals.

I'm also a contributing writer for Huffington Post and blog regularly at Mommy Diary.

I have a M.A. in English. I studied literature not because I like theory or structure, but because I'm fascinated by the beauty & power of words. I enjoyed teaching writing to college students, but my true passion lies in writing in a room of my own

When I'm not reading or writing, you can find me spending time with my family, cooking, getting my fitness on at the gym, working on DIY projects or catching up on Korean dramas while cleaning like a madwoman. Most of the time, you'll see me capturing inspirations in my notebook or writing on my laptop.

My passions include women's writing, motherhood & feminism, psychoanalysis, surrealism, spirituality, Asian-American literature, stream-of-consciousness, beauty and Korean culture.
